How We Verify
The pre-owned luxury watch market has a counterfeiting problem, and the honest answer is that most dealers don't have the in-house expertise to catch a good fake. They rely on the seller's word, a certificate of dubious origin, or a cursory visual check. We don't work that way. Our own horologists open, inspect, and authenticate the movement of every piece before it's ever listed for sale.
That inspection covers the movement itself against known factory specifications, case and bracelet consistency, dial and hand originality, and service history where it's available. A piece that doesn't pass isn't relisted elsewhere with the concern quietly omitted. It isn't sold by us at all.
This is also why we can stand behind condition grading on every listing with more confidence than a description alone would suggest. Authentication happens at our showroom in Orange County, though we work with collectors across Southern California and beyond. If you're considering a piece and want more detail on its authentication before reaching out about a purchase, or you have a watch you'd like independently authenticated, get in touch below.
